About Us

The Berry Barn is owned and operated by our family, Natalie and Grant Erlandson.

We previously owned and operated Saskatoon's Spring Creek Market, a unique Saskatchewan store. Each of us enjoys a role in operating the Barn. Grant loves the yard word and landscaping and supervises our deliveries and pick ups. Natalie is responsible for planning and catering to all Berry Patch functions. The grand children are involved, too. Daniel and Travis both help out during berry-picking season and Travis cuts the grass and loves to ride the "Gator". Brittney helps seat people in the restaurant and greets our guests.

Since purchasing the Berry Barn in 1997, we have tried to introduce new ways for our customers to enjoy "The Barn" and its surroundings, while maintaining the original vision of The Berry Barn as a place to "get away from it all" in a unique country setting.

We love our location in a 27 acre orchard of Saskatoon Berry bushes. During picking season (late June and early July) we offer fresh berries for purchase - already picked and sorted. We also have a U-Pick area, open daily (8 am to 8 pm) during picking season. We harvest between 22,000 and 28,000 pounds of Saskatoons each year - all hand picked and graded by up to 80 pickers at the busiest times. At the Barn itself, we employ around 50 people during peak season and about 25 at slower times.

Gift Shop

Inside the Barn, we added a completely new eatery, with panoramic views of the river, and moved the Gift Shop to make it wheelchair accessible.
We offer unique gifts and souvenirs, including a full line of Saskatoon Berry preserves and fudge made in the Barn's kitchens, and exclusive Saskatoon Berry items such as candles, scented soaps, lotions, chocolates and teas.
Our gift baskets, filled with Saskatoon Berry preserves and chocolates, feature our special little mascot, Tomi, and are perfect for any occasion. We hope you will find just the right item to remember your visit with us.

The Berry Patch

The Berry Patch is our recent addition to the facilities at the Berry Barn. It's lovely, landscaped area, tucked away in the orchard, ideal for private group functions, such as weddings and reunions.
We receive many requests for such a facility, so we spent a recent winter clearing two acres of bushes to make way for the new gardens.
The Berry Patch features a charming gazebo, modeled after Spring Creek Church, which is near our Outlook farm. Weddings are popular at the Berry Patch, but the area can be used for many other types of functions too.
There are canopied sitting and dining areas, a large deck overlooking the landscaped waterfall and stream, lush greenery, a fire pit, volleyball court and a horseshoe pitch.

U-Pic / Green House

The U-Pick area is open daily (8 am to 8 pm) during picking season. We harvest between 22,000 and 28,000 pounds of Saskatoons each year - all hand picked and graded by up to 80 pickers at the busiest times.

Flowers at The Berry Barn have become a tradition. The Berry Barn's family run greenhouse is open from May to July. The greenhouse is filled with one of a kind hangers and planters. We carry all varieties of bedding plants, herbs, perennials, proven winter plants, Geraniums, Martha Washingtons, Non-stop Begonias and many other plant varieties. New to The Berry Barn is fresh Saskatchewan grown vegetables available from July - December.
